The ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½'s Human Rights Unit will host a webinar on 2 December to examine effective solutions for eliminating all forms of discrimination faced by people with disabilities when engaging with police in Africa.

The ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ will host a gathering of high commissions, businesses, academia, women’s rights campaigners and civil society representatives on 2 December to look at and discuss actions and inspirations towards ending violence against women and girls in its 56 member countries.

Cervical cancer is the fourth most common cancer in women. It is also one of the most preventable and treatable forms of cancer, if detected early and managed effectively.

Hosted by the Attorney General’s Office Mauritius, ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ Law Ministers Meeting (CLMM) will convene in Mauritius under the theme: ‘Strengthening international cooperation through the rule of law and the protection of human rights.'

The Commonwealth carries a significant cervical cancer burden, particularly in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). Whilst ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ represents 30 per cent of the world’s population, it carries a 40 per cent share of the global cancer incidence burden, and 43 per cent of the global mortality burden.
