Commonwealth Secretary-General Patricia Scotland has paid a courtesy call to India's Minister for Women and Child Development Maneka Gandhi.

Commonwealth Secretary-General Patricia Scotland has paid a courtesy call to India's Minister for Women and Child Development Maneka Gandhi. 

They met as part of the Secretary-General's first official visit to India.

The minister and Secretary-General pledged to work closer together on ending domestic violence in the home, fighting sex trafficking and combatting child abduction.

They discussed how ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½'s Office for Civil and Criminal Justice Reforms (OCCJR) might help with these issues and the themes for next year's Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in London.
