A five-day high level training programme to improve the management of Uganda’s Inspectorate of Government and Directorate of Public Prosecution has just been delivered by ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ in Jinja, Uganda.
The course equipped top-level staff with innovative skills – helping them to provide access to justice for all citizens and build effective, accountable and inclusive institutions – the objective of Sustainable Development Goal 16. Twenty-five senior managers attended from 22 to 26 January, 2018.
Uganda’s Inspector General of Government, Justice Irene Mulyagonja commended the ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ for delivering an advanced and focused programme, giving senior officials a comprehensive picture of leadership from an international perspective.
Roger Koranteng, Head of Public Sector Governance at ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½, delivered the training programme. He focused on the leadership and management skills required for anti-corruption agencies, and covered areas such as cultural challenges to leadership, behaviour relationships with subordinates, conflict management, strategic planning, ethics and professional values, time management and team-building.
