Some recent media reports have referred to a submission by the Coalition for the Defence of Democratic Rights in Zambia to ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ Secretary-General. Such a submission has indeed been received.
The ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ is in touch with the Zambian Government on this matter and will also be consulting appropriately with other stakeholders in Zambia.
The ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ further wishes to clarify that, contrary to certain speculative media reports, this matter has not been brought before ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ Ministerial Action Group, which deals with serious or persistent violations of Commonwealth values.
