The winners of the inaugural Commonwealth Peace Prize, Rev Dr James Movel Wuye and Imam Dr Muhammad Nurayn Ashafa, will receive their award on 10 March 2025 during the reception to celebrate Commonwealth Day.  

In partnership with the , ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ Peace Prize honours those who have fostered dialogue, understanding, and conflict resolution, reinforcing ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½â€™s commitment to a more peaceful and inclusive world. In addition to the award, which is being given out for the first time, the winners will also share £50,000 to expand their ongoing work. 

In addition, the event will serve as the launch of ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ Peace Fellowship, a group of distinguished peacebuilders from around ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ who were selected to serve as mentors to a cohort of young peacebuilders.  

Over the past three decades, the Khalili Foundation has been a global leader in promoting interfaith and intercultural relations. The foundation has funded projects that use the power of art, culture and education to enable peacebuilding, including a long-term partnership with the ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½, dating back to 2017.
